The Missouri Quizbowl Alliance promotes the expansion of high quality quizbowl throughout the state of Missouri.
Quizbowl has recently enjoyed significant growth in many parts of the nation, largely due to the development of formats that better reward players for their academic knowledge. Missouri State Bear Bowl, originally scheduled for January 30, has been rescheduled to February 20, 2010.
Congratulations to Parkway Central and Priory for qualifying for both the 2010 NAQT HSNCT and the 2010 PACE NSC at the Spirit of St. Louis Warm-up held at Parkway Central High School on November 21, and to Villa Duchesne for also qualifying for HSNCT at this tournament!
Congratulations to Glasgow for qualifying for the 2010 PACE NSC for the first time at Tiger Bowl II on December 5 at the University of Missouri! North Kansas City has also qualified for NSC for the third time!
Congratulations to Clayton for qualifying for the 2010 PACE NSC for the first time at the Missouri S&T Fall Tournament on December 12! Savannah has also qualified for NSC for the third time!

The Missouri Quizbowl Alliance is pleased to announce that it will sponsor the Missouri team at the High School Academic Pyramid Questions National All-Star Academic Tournament.
The first annual HSAPQ NASAT will be held on the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee on June 12-13, 2010, and will draw statewide all-star teams from all across the country. MOQBA will organize the Missouri team and support it with coaching and travel assistance. The Missouri team at NASAT will be ably coached by Paul Nelson.

MOQBA is seeking additional hosts for more high quality tournaments.
